Consideration of amending existing "no firearm discharge areas" that Resolution No. 2022-096: A Resolution to Limit the Discharge of Firearms in the Sugarloaf Area designated in the Sugarloaf community to exclude United States Forest Service property from the prohibition on discharges of firearms for lawful hunting and consideration of combining prior no firearm discharge areas that were designated in Resolution No. 1992-83 in the Swiss Peaks area and Resolution No. 1971-28 in the Crisman area into the overlapping Sugarloaf no firearm discharge area.
The Boulder County Commissioners will consider an amendment to Resolution No. 2022-096: A Resolution to Limit the Discharge of Firearms in the Sugarloaf Area, which would remove the prohibition on hunting in United States Forest Service (USFS) land within the Sugarloaf boundary outlined in the resolution. More information will be available shortly.
