Open public comment addressed to the County Commissioners typically occurs at 9 a.m. on the first Thursday of the month unless the date falls on a holiday or needs to be rescheduled due to a calendar conflict. The Boulder County Historic Preservation Advisory Board (HPAB) is an advisory board appointed by the Board of County Commissioners to provide guidance to the county on historic preservation issues. Its primary focus is to review structures and sites for historic significance and to review building or development plans which might affect these resources. HPAB also reviews landmark applications and must approve building plans which result in the alteration of an historic landmark. The NEPPIDAC is an independent committee that provides Boulder County Commissioners with recommendations regarding the administration of the Nederland EcoPass Public Improvement District. Just days after the recent new moon on March 18, the night sky will give us a perfect chance to watch the moon grow brighter night after night. We’ll explore how and why the moon changes shape throughout the month, what to look for in its glow, and how people across the world and across time have used the moon to mark seasons and celebrate traditions. Partners for a Clean Environment (PACE), Boulder County's business sustainability program, is hosting a free tour of the county's recycling center. Join fellow Boulder County business owners and employees for this popular tour. Attendees will learn about the newest equipment upgrades and new materials accepted for recycling and will leave with a better understanding of why and how the recycling process works here in Boulder County.
