Art in the Parks

Take time to look at nature through an artistic lens. Experience an opportunity to sketch the awe-inspiring aspects of our county parks through a process of observation, contemplation, and visualization. Absolutely no experience in the arts is needed. Volunteer naturalists will guide your journey with ideas, some direction, and an opportunity to practice various skills. Through a series of five programs, we will explore basic sketching principles to make your experience unique and fun-filled. Programs will be held on the second weekend of the month, from 10 am to 12:30 pm, at either Walden Ponds or Pella Crossing. Registration required. Boulder County Elections wants you to be an election champion! As an informed and trusted friend or neighbor, you can help answers people’s questions about elections – and we’ll train you. You don’t need to be an expert today to become an Election Champion this fall! Learn more about this training. This workshop will take place at the Boulder Public Library main branch in the Canyon Meeting Room. Coffee and donuts will be provided. Participants can also bring in food for themselves. This event is free! RSVP is required since space is limited.
