Astronomy: Cosmic Fireworks and Shooting Stars of Summer
Summer skies sparkle with meteors! Learn what causes meteor showers and why August’s Perseids are among the year’s favorites. Volunteer naturalists will help you get ready for peak viewing and share tips for watching shooting stars with the naked eye Presentations will be at the picnic shelter, followed by stargazing in the parking area. The Longmont Astronomical Society provides telescopes.
