The foothills are a dynamic ecosystem that transforms in the winter. As the snow falls and the temperatures drop, plants and animals must adapt to survive in the harsh conditions. Join us for a moderate 1.5-mile hike as we explore this ecosystem. Registration for most programs begins on the 20th of the month before the event. Registration required. Register Registration is required through Discover Boulder County, Parks & Open Space’s volunteer and event registration system. If you’re new to the system, you'll need to create an account. Topic: Wildfire Mitigation in the County Location: Lyons Town Hall, 432 Fifth Ave, Lyons Date: Thursday, Feb. 20, 2024 Time: 5:30 - 7 p.m. Purpose: Residents are invited to join the Boulder County Commissioners in Lyons for a Town Hall meeting to discuss wildfire mitigation in the county. Wildfire Mitigation Manager Jim Webster will present followed by a question and answer session with the board about this and other topics.
