Astronomy: Our Moon

Ron Stewart Preserve at Rabbit Mountain 14950 N. 55th St., Longmont

Let’s talk about our moon! We’ll discuss it’s craters and mountains, human interactions and its interactions with the sun and earth creating solar and lunar eclipses. Join volunteer naturalists to hike about one mile round-trip on an easy trail. Together we will discover the amazing mysteries of our night sky. Bring water, close-toed hiking shoes, and a flashlight. Space is limited. Registration for most programs begins on the 20th of the month before the event. Registration required. Register Registration is required through Discover Boulder County, Parks & Open Space’s volunteer and event registration system. If you’re new to the system, you'll need to create an account. But it’s easy and we only use your contact information to communicate about events you register for. We will never sell or give your information to a third party.
