Time Commitment and Minimum Age:

Volunteer Ambassadors are expected to volunteer 5 hours of their time per month and ideally participate for at least one full year. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.

Location:

Virtual meetings and various community centers and public events throughout Boulder County.

Program Summary:

Mobility for All (M4A) works with community partners across Boulder County to offer workshops and one-on-one support to help people of all ages and abilities feel confident using different transportation modes and apps. Reliable, affordable transportation is key to accessing jobs, healthcare, and staying connected. Since one option doesn’t fit all, M4A helps people explore backups like buses, bikes, rideshares, and more.

In exchange for volunteer time, Ambassadors receive free RTD tickets, RTD Access-a-Ride tickets or Uber/Lyft credits each month.

M4A encourage people from different ages, backgrounds, and abilities to apply!

Duties and Responsibilities:

Mobility for All Ambassadors provide free, personalized support to help community members learn about transportation options in their area, navigate public transit, and use transportation-related apps more effectively. Support may include help with navigating apps, riding public transit together, offering guidance on planning trips and understanding available transportation options in the area. Ambassadors can offer one-on-one support to community members, provide small group presentations, and support larger M4A workshops and events.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Passion for public transit and exploring other ways to get around, like biking, walking, paratransit, ride-hailing, carpooling, and car sharing.
Eagerness to learn about all of the transportation options in Boulder County and the tools/resources that exist to help people move throughout the county.
Ability to building relationships, speaking to diverse groups, and supporting new learners with patience and empathy.
Skilled at offering guidance and constructive feedback to people who have questions about their own mobility.

Training resources and direct guidance are provided to new Ambassador and available every month.
