Astronomy: The Pleiades
The Pleiades, also known as the Seven Sisters, is one of the most recognizable star clusters in the constellation Taurus. Discover how this brilliant asterism has inspired ancient myths, guided explorers, and captivated astronomers across cultures and centuries.
Presentations will be at the picnic shelter, followed by stargazing in the parking area. The Longmont Astronomical Society provides telescopes. Bring a chair or blanket, a light jacket, and a red flashlight, and get ready to enjoy a night under the stars!
Registration for most programs begins on the 20th of the month before the event.
