Housing Stabilization Program

The Housing Stabilization Program (HSP) helps people and families keep stable housing by providing short term rental assistance. We aim to:

  • Reduce evictions
  • Prevent housing crises
  • Help families stay in their homes

Services to Help Prevent Homelessness

  • The Community Resource Housing Panel offers short-term rental assistance, case management, and referrals to housing voucher programs.
  • Next Step Homelessness Prevention helps families with school-aged children avoid homelessness.
  • The Voucher Assistance and Stabilization Program (VASP) helps people keep their housing vouchers by providing deposits and overdue rent.

Help for People Exiting Homelessness

  • Family Coordinated Entry and Homelessness Case Conferencing helps connect families experiencing homelessness with resources.
  • Continuum of Care Rapid Rehousing helps unhoused families find homes, pay rent, and get case management support.
  • Transformational Homelessness Response Family Bridge Housing provides temporary housing for families matched to permanent housing program.

Supportive Services

Our case management team offers extra support by:

  • Helping people maintain stable housing
  • Connecting people to health and well-being services
  • Providing educational and developmental resources
  • Supporting housing and self-sufficiency goals

Community Building Services

  • Community of Practice provides networking and professional development opportunities for case managers working in Boulder County.
  • The Leadership, Engagement, Partnership, and Advocacy Collaborative (LEPAC) gives those with lived experience the chance to help improve Boulder County programs.
  • Our partnership with Philanthropiece teaches renters about affordable housing.

The Housing Stabilization Program is making a real difference in Boulder County. Here’s what we’ve achieved:

  • $2.99 million in rental assistance
  • 450 total households served
  • 43 households affected by domestic violence served
  • 81% of families housed for at least a year after support
  • 84% of Rapid Rehousing participants found permanent homes
  • 98% of Next Step program families secured stable housing
  • 30-day average from homelessness to housing
