Overview
In the 2023 General Election, Boulder County voters approved an extension of an existing .185% sales and use tax with 71% support. Named the Affordable and Attainable Housing Tax (AAHT), it will continue for 15 years to help fund affordable housing and related services across Boulder County.
Money from this tax supports:
- Building, repairing, and maintaining homes for low- and moderate-income families and local workers
- Creating and maintaining supportive housing for people who need help staying housed
- Providing services that promote housing stability
- Giving grants to housing authorities, nonprofits, and local cities and towns to expand affordable housing options
