Marshall Fire and Wind Event Recovery

On Dec. 30, 2021, the Marshall Fire swept through the City of Louisville, Town of Superior, and unincorporated Boulder County, destroying and damaging more than 1,000 homes and over 30 commercial structures. This webpage provides information and resources for those impacted by the fire as our community begins the healing and rebuilding process.

After the Marshall Fire in 2021, the Navigating Disaster for Boulder County Program was developed to help survivors better navigate resources during their recovery process. Since Boulder County has been responding or recovering from disasters since 2010, the Navigating Disaster Program was developed to help fill the gap between the end of response and the start of traditional case management services (usually a year post-event). During the 18-months that these services were offered after the Marshall Fire, Recovery Navigators conducted more than 1,200 appointments to assist survivors. View the Navigator’s final report for an overview of the services they provided. Monthly reports are available by contacting Katie Arrington, Recovery and Resiliency Program Manager, karrington@bouldercounty.gov.
