Program Summary:

The Healthy Kids Support Worker assists community members with accessing health care and understanding health care eligibility and resources. As a health advocate, volunteers will work with the community members and County staff to ensure that health care is accessible and understood by eligible Boulder County residents.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties are to assist community members with health coverage inquiries, and to support program staff with data entry, filing, marketing materials and information dissemination. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Seeking a service-oriented individual that has strong customer service skills, including being able to work with diverse staff and clients. Candidate will have strong computer skills (including data entry, Word and Excel). Strong written and oral communication skills are required, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Spanish language skills are preferred, but not required.

Requirements: Complete Background Check, attend HHS Orientation, team meetings and/or one-on-one meetings with HHS staff. Open to learning and receiving feedback. Willingness to join a busy, dedicated team of professionals.
