South Boulder Road Concrete Panel Replacement

South Boulder Road Emergency Concrete Panel Replacement Project

Emergency Concrete Repairs on South Boulder Road between Cherryvale and Manhattan – Lane closures and cyclist/pedestrian detours

Inspection has revealed significant concrete failures on South Boulder Road on both sides of the road between Cherryvale Road and Manhattan Drive. In order to safely complete the work, the following travel restrictions (see map) will be enforced for approximately four weeks starting at the end of October/early November, weather permitting:

  • Vehicular Travel Reduced to One-Lane in Each Direction in head-to-head configuration
    • Both directions of traffic on South Boulder Road will be shifted to the north side of the roadway (westbound lanes) for one week in order to work on the two eastbound lanes.
    • After the eastbound lanes are complete, traffic will be shifted to the south side of the South Boulder Road (eastbound lanes) for one week in order to work on the two westbound lanes
  • Cyclists & Pedestrian Detour
    • Bicyclists and pedestrians will be detoured onto the South Boulder Creek Trail between Manhattan and Cherryvale as the shoulder on South Boulder Road will be closed
  • Bus Stop Relocation
    • Two bus stops will need to be relocated during the work
    • Stop at Cherryvale will be relocated east of Cherryvale Road/South Boulder Road intersection
    • Stop at Manhattan will be relocated west of Manhattan Drive/South Boulder Road intersection
