SWQP Supplemental CDOT SWMP Template

Supplemental Information for Projects Using the CDOT SWMP Template (REQUIRED)

For projects using the CDOT SWMP template, the additional information listed below is also required to be submitted as part of the stormwater management plan.

  1. Site Maps meeting all CDOT requirements listed in Specification 208 (current revision) or the CDPS General Permit for Stormwater Discharges Associated with Construction Activities.
  2. All applicable CDOT Specifications related to water quality and referenced in the CDOT SWMP template including the M&S Standards (Temporary Erosion Control Details).
  3. Control details for any control measure not included in the CDOT Temporary Erosion Control Details.
  4. Stormwater inspection and maintenance descriptions including frequencies (if using CDOT specifications to reference, must include specification).
  5. Discussion on the phased implementation of controls as they relate to construction activities.
  6. Schedule of anticipated construction start and end dates as well as anticipated date of final stabilization.
  7. Spill response plans and material management plans (including but not limited to spill prevention measures, general procedures to be followed if a spill occurs, reporting requirements, management of waste materials, and overall site and materials management procedures).
  8. Evaluation of potential pollutants, including, but not limited to, the following:
    1. All disturbed and stored soils
    2. Vehicle tracking of sediments
    3. Management of contaminated soils
    4. Loading and unloading operations
    5. Outdoor storage activities (building materials, fertilizers, chemicals, etc.)
    6. Vehicle and equipment maintenance and fueling
    7. Significant dust or particulate generating processes
    8. Routine maintenance activities that use fertilizers, pesticides, detergents, fuels, solvents, oils, etc.
    9. On-site waste management practices (waste piles, liquid wastes, dumpsters, etc.)
    10. Concrete truck/equipment washing, including the concrete truck’s chute, fixtures, and equipment
    11. Dedicate asphalt and concrete batch plants
    12. Non-industrial waste sources such as worker trash and portable toilets
    13. Other areas or procedures where potential spills can occur
