For projects using the CDOT SWMP template, the additional information listed below is also required to be submitted as part of the stormwater management plan.
- Site Maps meeting all CDOT requirements listed in Specification 208 (current revision) or the CDPS General Permit for Stormwater Discharges Associated with Construction Activities.
- All applicable CDOT Specifications related to water quality and referenced in the CDOT SWMP template including the M&S Standards (Temporary Erosion Control Details).
- Control details for any control measure not included in the CDOT Temporary Erosion Control Details.
- Stormwater inspection and maintenance descriptions including frequencies (if using CDOT specifications to reference, must include specification).
- Discussion on the phased implementation of controls as they relate to construction activities.
- Schedule of anticipated construction start and end dates as well as anticipated date of final stabilization.
- Spill response plans and material management plans (including but not limited to spill prevention measures, general procedures to be followed if a spill occurs, reporting requirements, management of waste materials, and overall site and materials management procedures).
- Evaluation of potential pollutants, including, but not limited to, the following:
- All disturbed and stored soils
- Vehicle tracking of sediments
- Management of contaminated soils
- Loading and unloading operations
- Outdoor storage activities (building materials, fertilizers, chemicals, etc.)
- Vehicle and equipment maintenance and fueling
- Significant dust or particulate generating processes
- Routine maintenance activities that use fertilizers, pesticides, detergents, fuels, solvents, oils, etc.
- On-site waste management practices (waste piles, liquid wastes, dumpsters, etc.)
- Concrete truck/equipment washing, including the concrete truck’s chute, fixtures, and equipment
- Dedicate asphalt and concrete batch plants
- Non-industrial waste sources such as worker trash and portable toilets
- Other areas or procedures where potential spills can occur
