The following benefits are available to Boulder County employees based on certain eligibility requirements. Boulder County strives to provide viable options for employees to get to work and meetings and to conduct personal business without the need for using a single-occupancy vehicle.
EcoPass
All benefited employees are given an EcoPass that can be used any time on buses and rail lines operated by RTD and the FLEX transit service between Ft. Collins and Boulder, which is operated by TRANSFORT. Pass holders can take all local and regional bus routes operated by RTD, which can help get you to where you need to go in the Denver metro area. The EcoPass is a $2,600 value, and also provides valuable discounts at stores and restaurants.
Transit Vouchers for Non-Benefited Employees
Hourly employees, interns, and volunteers can receive transit vouchers that may cover most of their bus commute.
Vanpool
Vanpools are open to all employee, including hourly and interns, who commute at least 10-miles one-way and are not served by transit. Participating in a vanpool is a huge cost savings opportunity and can turn your commute time into nap or relax time as others do the driving. The van, gas, and insurance costs are covered by the county. The cost to employees depends on miles traveled, which can range between $15 and $35. Vanpools are available for five or more people that share a commute route.
Bikeshare
Free bikeshare memberships from B-cycle in Boulder and Zagster in Longmont for all county employees including hourly and interns.
Guaranteed Ride Home
The Guaranteed Ried Home program is a built-in backup plan for those who choose to bike, bus, walk, or carpool/vanpool to work. The program provides free taxi rides home should something happen and you need a ride instead of taking alternative transportation options.
Carshare Discount
All Boulder County employees can receive discounts for eGo CarShare memberships.
