The Boulder County Historic Preservation Advisory Board (HPAB) is an advisory board appointed by the Board of County Commissioners to provide guidance to the county on historic preservation issues. Its primary focus is to review structures and sites for historic significance and to review building or development plans which might affect these resources. HPAB also reviews landmark applications and must approve building plans which result in the alteration of an historic landmark. Each HPAB meeting is a public hearing, and at the beginning of each meeting anyone may address the Board with historic preservation concerns or questions. The NEPPIDAC is an independent committee that provides Boulder County Commissioners with recommendations regarding the administration of the Nederland EcoPass Public Improvement District. While the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) has the legal authority and responsibility to make decisions regarding the operation and finances of the District, the Committee members serve in an advisory capacity to the BOCC. The Committee acts as a communication link between the property owners and residents of the District and the BOCC. Open public comment addressed to the County Commissioners typically occurs at 9 a.m. on the first Thursday of the month unless the date falls on a holiday or needs to be rescheduled due to a calendar conflict.* Members of the public can sign up to speak in advance or on the day of public comment. 2 events,Hybrid Meeting: In-Person and Zoom Webinar The county commissioners take general public comments on any matter not being discussed in another current public hearing process. Open public comment addressed to the County Commissioners typically occurs at 9 a.m. on the first Thursday of the month unless the date falls on a holiday or needs to be rescheduled due to a calendar conflict. Members of the public can sign up to speak in advance or on the day of public comment. Public comment is taken in-person (in the hearing room) or virtually via Zoom. Check the Commissioners' Advance Agenda to confirm meeting date one week prior to regularly scheduled date. Reserve a speaking spot using the either the "In Person" or "Virtual Attendee" link on the Commissioners' Advance Agenda. Day of Public Comment: Visit the Open Meeting Portal to find the link to join (or sign up to speak) virtually. Each speaker (up to 10 people) will be able to give public comment to the commissioners for three minutes each. Participants will not be able to screen-share but can bring printed materials in person. Public comments and applicable attachments can always be emailed to the commissioners at commissioners@bouldercounty.gov.

Join the Boulder Mountainbike Alliance and Boulder County Parks & Open Space for a morning of riding the beginner and kid friendly trails at Heil Valley Ranch. This event will have mini-skills clinics, route suggestions, bike decorating materials, and educational information. This event is recommended for families with kids ages 3 to 10. Free loaner kids' mountain bikes and helmets will be available, or you can bring your own mountain bike and helmet. Guided rides with Boulder Mountainbike Alliance for all ages start at 9:30 and depart every half hour. Come anytime between 9 a.m. to noon for bike decorating and independent exploration of the trails. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Don't forget to stop by the Altona Schoolhouse where volunteers will be on hand to share the school’s history and restoration with visitors. Registration required. Register
