Zero Waste Coupon for Businesses

Zero Waste Coupon for Businesses

Boulder County Resource Conservation Division wants to support your business in reducing waste by offering a coupon worth $150 towards Zero Waste services. Coupons are available to Boulder County businesses that sign up for NEW recycling services or take the next step towards Zero Waste by committing to NEW composting services. Businesses who commit to 1-year of new recycling and/or composting services may apply for Zero Waste coupons within 1-year of signing up for those services. Coupons are only valid for use with haulers licensed in Boulder County. Find a list of Current Licensed Haulers on the Hauling Requirements for Haulers webpage.

Recycling and composting will not only help businesses to enhance their positive public image, but will also increase savings from reduced trash disposal cost, foster employee pride through positive company initiative, divert valuable resources from the landfill, and reduce their environmental footprint!

In the City of Boulder, these coupons may be used use for hard-to-recycle services, such as Eco-Cycle’s CHaRM on the Road program or Western Disposal’s Recycle Express program. Since City of Boulder property owners are required to provide composting and recycling collections already, the County’s Zero Waste Coupon for Businesses does not apply towards these services per the City of Boulder.

Some Boulder County municipalities have committed additional funding to help businesses get started with recycling and composting services. See below for even more savings funded by Longmont, Louisville, Lafayette, and Superior.

Longmont

The City of Longmont and Boulder County are committed to helping commercial businesses and multifamily properties in Longmont have financial assistance to help with compliance of Longmont’s Universal Recycling Ordinance and Waste Diversion Goals. Valid for businesses that commit to 1-year of NEW recycling and/or composting services within the first 1-year of signing up for those services.

These Longmont specific recycling Zero Waste Coupons are available one time only, on a first come, first serve basis until funds run out.

  • All commercial business properties will be able to apply for $700.
  • Larger multifamily properties with 75 units or more will be able to apply for $2500.
  • Multifamily properties with 74 units or less will be able to apply for $1500.
  • These amounts include the $150 coupon from the County; the additional amount is funded by the City of Longmont.

Commercial businesses that receive these funds must be a part of the Longmont Sustainable Business Program (SBP). If businesses are not already a part of this program, they will be required to sign up to join. This is a free program with the purpose of supporting and recognizing businesses in the community making substantial efforts to reduce their environmental impact, act socially responsible, and contribute to the economic vitality of Longmont.
