Partners for a Clean Environment (PACE)

Partners for a Clean Environment (PACE) helps businesses in Boulder County become more sustainable. We offer free advising, rebates, and grants to help local businesses save energy, cut waste, and lower costs.

PACE programs focus on energy efficiency and electrification — swapping gas-powered equipment for electric equipment. These upgrades have a big impact on emissions, health, and comfort. PACE advisors guide businesses every step of the way. This includes an initial review of needs, equipment setup, and staff training.

PACE Programs and Support

Many PACE programs help businesses replace old, gas-powered equipment. This includes commercial kitchen equipment, landscaping tools, and food truck equipment, and heating and cooling systems. PACE also helps businesses reduce waste, conserve water, and find cleaner transportation options.

PACE has rebates and grants to help cover the cost of these upgrades. Grants can cover up to 70% of the cost of qualifying equipment. PACE expert advisors provide support and can help businesses decide which changes are right for their business.

Expert Advising

PACE advisors work one-on-one with businesses to meet their goals. They are free to work with and are one of PACE’s most valuable resources.

PACE advisors know local programs, rebates, and resources. They help make changes that fit your business — from low-cost improvements to larger upgrades.

Funding for PACE comes from Boulder County’s Sustainability Tax and the City of Boulder’s Climate Tax. Boulder County towns and cities also contribute funding.
