Low-Cost, Simplified EV Charger Installation
Through this program, Boulder County can cover 80% of the cost of the EV charging installation, and property owners pay 20%. There are also options for no-cost installations for property owners.
Boulder County has competitively selected Winn-Marion Barber, LLC to install the EV charging infrastructure for property owners, reducing the burden on property owners to find reputable charging companies. Winn-Marion will provide services to each site including site assessment, design, equipment installation, and ongoing operations support.
Eligibility
- The property must be located in Boulder County.
- The priority for this funding is existing properties (not new development).
- Properties must be able to accommodate four charging ports.
- Multifamily housing or manufactured home park charging stations must be at unassigned parking and available to both residents and visitors. Assigned or deeded parking spots are not eligible for this program.
- Single-family homes are not eligible.
The objective of this program is to expand EV charger access for communities and areas of Boulder County with EV charging gaps. Boulder County also aims to achieve geographic diversity across communities of Boulder County and to have 40% of charging investment benefit underserved communities such as affordable housing, multifamily housing, manufactured home communities, low-to-moderate income neighborhoods. Boulder County will confirm eligibility with interested property owners.

Project Funding
Boulder County received a $4.9 million grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration to support electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
