Program Summary:

Do you enjoy spending time outdoors on the trails? If so, consider volunteering with the Volunteer Ranger Corps for Boulder County Parks & Open Space. If you would like to be a part of an important volunteer corps that is making a difference in Boulder County this program is for you. Whether you want to help by enhancing the visitor experience in our beautiful parks or are considering a career in natural resources, please consider applying today.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Volunteers are welcome to hike, bike, run, or ride a horse at Boulder County’s scenic open spaces while providing park visitors with information about cultural and natural history, recreational opportunities, facilities, and regulations. With additional training and approval, volunteers can hike the trails with their dog to help share information with other dog owners on the trail.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Volunteers must be 18 years old.

Volunteers must patrol for at least 24 hours a year. There may be opportunities to participate in special assignments including community outreach, visitor studies, and staff work projects as needed.

Training Dates and Information:

Volunteer training will be two days on April 2 and 10.
