Program Summary: | Limber pine is a keystone species that maintains ecosystem function and stability. It is currently being threatened by multiple agents including mountain pine beetle, dwarf mistletoe and the non-native disease, white pine blister rust. |
Duties and Responsibilities: | Collect plot and tree data at various mountain locations. |
Qualifications and Requirements: | Must be at least 18 years of age. Preferred education in biology, ecology, or natural sciences. Experience working with scientific protocols desired. Should be in good physical shape and enjoy working in the outdoors (at higher elevations), in all types of terrain. |
Training Dates and Information: | One training will take place in late May or early June. |
