Angler hosts visit the following parks:

• Cattail Pond at Boulder County Fairgrounds
• Stearns Lake at Carolyn Holmberg Preserve

Volunteer Angler Hosts help at kids fishing clinics and family fishing events where they teach beginner fishing skills such as knot tying, casting, and fish handling.

• Participate in kids fishing clinics by assisting with the set up and teaching of beginner fishing skills (such as knot tying, casting, and fish handling).
• As needed, these volunteers also provide park visitors with information about fishing opportunities at the park.

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Comfortable initiating conversations
• Willing to work as a part of a team
• Abide by all open space rules and regulations, and set an example for other park visitors
• Must have personal transportation
• Pass criminal background check

• Complete two evening trainings May – dates TBD.
• Help with at least two special events between June and October. This is roughly 10 hours of volunteer service for the season.
