The conference was held on Dec. 19, 2019. Topics covered on-the-ground solutions from producers spanning a variety of climate and soil conditions across the county.
The Soil Revolution 2018
The conference was held on Dec. 12, 2018. The full-day event shed light on the past, present, and future issues surrounding soil health, including the history of global agricultural production, agronomic and financial benefits for today’s producers, and the importance of creating resilient landscapes.
The Soil Revolution – Digging Deeper
This conference was held on Dec. 14, 2017. Third-generation biotic specialty potato farmer Brendon Rockey of Rockey Farms in Center, Colorado, delivered the keynote address. Brendon’s approach focuses on supporting flourishing ecosystems. He was joined by producers from Boulder County, the State of Colorado and the southwestern United States. Other soil health experts from the USDA-NRCS and Colorado State University shared their expertise.
The Soil Revolution – It’s More Than Just Dirt
This workshop was held on March 9, 2017. Soil health is at the heart of agriculture no matter what you grow or raise. Featured speakers included Rudy Garcia, Western Regional Soil Health Specialist NRCS, and Meaghan Schipanski, Assist. Prof in the Dept of Soil and Crop Sciences, CSU. Content included soil health demonstrations, presentations from scientists and farmers, and networking with participants and exhibitors.
Organic Certification Workshop
The workshop was held on December 9, 2014. The workshop included an overview of the National Organic Program Standards, the certification process, the organic farm plan, how to pick a certifier, record-keeping templates, approved materials, and other resources.
