Wildland Fire
Accidently started by a generator.
Boulder County, Colo. - On July 16, 2017 at 1:17 pm, deputies from the Boulder County Sheriff's Office along with fire crews from the Jamestown Fire Department, Lefthand Fire Department and Boulder County Sheriff's Office responded to 329 County Road 87J on the report of a wildland fire.
Daniel Thompson was running a generator to fill his cistern, when it started a ground fire. The fire was contained and extinguished in about an hour, after it spread to approximately 4 tenths of an acre. No injuries were reported and no structures were damaged.
