Wildland Fire in the 400 block of Country Lane, Boulder County, CO

Small Wildland fire quickly contained in the 400 block of Country Lane

Boulder County, Colo.

On January 9th, 2017, at about 5:00 a.m., the Boulder County Sheriff's Office, Rocky Mountain Fire Protection District, Louisville Fire Department and the Boulder Rural Fire Protection District responded to the area of the 400 block of Country Lane on the report of a wildland fire which was threatening a near-by house.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a small bush on fire near one of the homes. High winds threatened to spread the small 10' x 10' fire. Fire personnel quickly extinguished the fire before any more damage could occur. There was no damage to any of the near-by structures and no reported injuries.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

The Boulder County Sheriff's Office case number is 17-125.
