Tip of the Day: Crestview Estates Residents Come Together for Chipping
The Crestview Estates Residents Group (CERG) held its 7th annual community chipping event on June 8. They had a record number of residents—43—participate this year, a 25% increase over last year! Homeowners hauled so much slash to the edge of the road that Lefthand Fire District and CERG volunteers continued to chip on June 9. A long list of volunteers, led by Doug Hofmeister, made the event possible by donating their time and strong backs to make this event possible.
2016 Community Chipping and Saws and Slaws Events
We have 33 events scheduled for 2016. You are fortunate if you live in Nederland, Crestview Estates, St Anton Highlands First Addition HOA, Coal Creek Canyon, or the following fire districts: Rocky Mountain, Sugarloaf, or Sunshine, because you may participate in one of these events.
New Wildfire Partners Chipping Program
If you live in a community that is not included in the above list of chipping and Saws and Slaws events, don’t despair! You are eligible to apply for a Wildfire Partners Community Roadside Chipping Event. Events require at least 10 properties and 3 new Wildfire Partners to be eligible. Wildfire Partners will pay 100% of chipping cost for certified Wildfire Partners homeowners, 75% of chipping costs for Wildfire Partners who have received an assessment, and 50% of chipping costs for Wildfire Partners who have been accepted into the program.
