Volunteers Needed: Tour Guides and House Docents at the Agricultural Heritage Center

Application deadline August 2

Boulder County, Colo. - Boulder County Parks & Open Space is now accepting applications for volunteer tour guides and house docents at the Agricultural Heritage Center in Longmont.

Volunteers teach visitors about life on a Front Range farm between 1900 and 1925.

Tours at the farm showcase historic barns, interactive exhibits, granaries, a silo, milk house, garage, a working blacksmith shop, farm animals and a 1909 farmhouse. House docents focus on greeting visitors and giving farmhouse tours.

Volunteers are needed primarily for weekday tours for school groups, but house docents are also needed for weekends and special events. Application deadline is August 2. Required training is scheduled for Wednesday, August 16, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The Agricultural Heritage Center is located at 8348 Highway 66 in Longmont.
