Valmont Road travel delays tomorrow between 61st and 75th due to paving
A flood recovery-related paving operation on Valmont Road between 61st and 75th streets will cause travel delays in both directions between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m tomorrow, May 11. The road will be down to one lane and traffic control personnel will be used to move travelers safely around the work zone. Paving is scheduled to take one day, but it is weather dependent. Alternate routes are advised.
Valmont Road is being shifted to the south in the 6700 block due to an unstable embankment on the north side that resulted from the September 2013 flood event. This project should be fully complete by Friday, and delays should be minimal after paving is completed tomorrow.
