Unattended death near 7000 block of Ute Highway in Boulder County

Unattended death of 60 year old male in 7000 block of Ute Highway, Boulder County, CO

Boulder County, Colo.

On February 26th, 2017, at approximately 0945 hours, the Boulder County Sheriff's Office, the Longmont Fire Department and the Hygiene Fire department responded to the 7000 block of Ute Highway in unincorporated Boulder County, Colorado on the report of an unconscious male. Additional information was given that CPR was in progress.

Upon arrival, emergency personnel continued CPR and used an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) in an attempt to revive the 60 year old male, but the efforts were unsuccessful. The male was pronounced deceased on scene by paramedics; after consulting with an on-duty area hospital emergency room doctor.

A medical investigator with the Boulder County Coroner's Office responded to the scene. The investigation is on-going and the identity of the deceased is being withheld until a cause and manner of death can be established. At this time, there is nothing to indicate foul play was involved.

This unattended death investigation is documented under Boulder County Sheriff's Office case number 17-1158.
