Two projects require closures of 95th Street; Expect delays

Paving operations on
Nov. 4-5 as well as utility work on Nov. 7-10

Boulder County, Colo. - Beginning
this weekend, and continuing next week, projects on 95
th Street will
require lane closures and full closures of the road.

Paving Operations – Lane Closures
Paving
operations that are part of the
95th
Street Intersections Improvement Project
will require lane closures and travel
delays of up to 15-minutes on 95th Street between Valmont and
Isabelle roads on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 4 and 5. Work will take place
between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. both days. Delays will also impact Valmont Road west
of 95th Street and Isabelle Road east of 95th Street.

The
paving is being completed to take advantage of favorable weather conditions,
which are required for this work.

This
paving effort is one of the final pieces of the project that must take place
before reopening the road to normal traffic patterns. The road will be reopened
during the winter as crews shut down construction; this reopening is
anticipated for the week of Nov. 13. Crews will return in the spring to
complete the remaining work that requires consistently warm temperatures.

Private Utility Work – 95th
Street Full Closure
Private
utility installation and relocation work beneath 95th Street will
take place from Tuesday, Nov. 7 through Friday, Nov. 10. This work will require
closures of 95th Street north of Valmont and south of Isabelle roads. This full
closure will be for 24 hours each day.

  • North of Valmont Road: 95th Street
will be closed starting Tuesday, Nov. 7 at 7 a.m. and will reopen late
    Wednesday, Nov. 8.
  • South of Isabelle Road: 95th
Street will be closed after work is complete north of Valmont and will reopen
    late Friday, Nov. 10.

95th
Street, Isabelle Road, and Valmont Road will also remain closed during normal
work hours, which are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, until the
road reopens the week of Nov. 13.

All
planned work is weather permitting and schedules may shift if necessary.
