Structure fire South Boulder Road
Structure fire on private property damages garage
Boulder County, Colo. - On Sunday, March 19, 2017 at approximately 4:50pm, the Boulder County Regional Communications Center received a 9-1-1 call of a structure fire in the 7100 block of South Boulder Road, Boulder County, CO. The reporting party stated flames and smoke were visible from a detached garage located on the property. Once alerted, homeowners began trying to extinguish flames with a water hose.
Members from the Louisville Fire Department, Rocky Mountain Fire Protection District, Boulder Rural Fire Protection District, Lafayette Fire Department, Louisville Police Department, Boulder Police Department and Boulder County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were dispatched to the fire. South Boulder Road is currently shut down temporarily due to multiple fire apparatuses and hoses blocking the road. We anticipate the road to be reopened by 9:30 pm.
The multi-agency fire investigation team (M.A.F.I.T.) was also dispatched to investigate the cause and origin of the fire.
