Seasonal closures of Fourth of July Road to begin Friday, Feb. 9

Barricades will be set at the end of the pavement on County Road 130/Hessie Road.

Boulder County, Colo. - Boulder County Transportation will begin seasonal closures of Fourth of July Road/County Road 116 on Friday, Feb. 9. Barricades will be set at the end of the pavement on County Road 130/Hessie Road. The road will reopen in the spring when it is safe for crews to plow snow and maintain the road to safe, drivable standards.

The road will remain open to pedestrians (skiing, snowshoeing), cyclists, and equestrian traffic. Parking in the area is limited. Please obey all parking signs and do not block driveways. The closure will be enforced by the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office. Failure to follow the closure could result in traffic tickets and/or court summons.
