Boulder County, Colo. - On July 17, 2017, shortly after noon deputies of the Boulder County Sheriff's Office, rescue personnel from Rocky Mountain Rescue and the Nederland Fire Department responded to the Hessie Trailhead.

Seventy-two year old Stephen O'Hara was hiking the trail, which leads to Lost Lake, west of Eldora. The man was approximately one third mile up from the trailhead when he fell and injured himself. Rescue personnel were able to extricate him for transport to the Good Samaritan Hospital for a knee injury.
