Public hearing scheduled for a proposed Marijuana Establishment in Niwot
Online signup forms available beginning June 1 at noon
Boulder County, Colo. - The
Boulder County Commissioners will hold a Public Hearing to collect information
from county staff and to hear comments from the public about the Special Use
Review and Site Specific Development Plan (Docket SU-15-0001) for a proposed Marijuana
Establishment in Niwot, in unincorporated Boulder County.

Action
Requested: No action is requested on June 29, 2016. The
Board of County Commissioners will hear from staff, the applicant, and the
public, but will not make a decision until the June 30, 2016 public meeting.
When: Wednesday, June
29 beginning at 2 p.m.

Details: Members of the
public will have the opportunity to sign up online to speak at this hearing, as
either an Individual Speaker (3 minutes to speak) or as part of a Pooled Time speakers’
group (up to 10 minutes). Online signups
for those interested in speaking at the hearing will open Wednesday, June 1 at
noon. Signups in person at the hearing on June 29 will be taken in the
order they are received, and placed in the queue after the scheduled online
sign-ups.

Details: The opportunity
to provide public testimony regarding Docket SU-15-0001 will be taken at the
Board of County Commissioners Public Hearing on June 29, 2016. No
additional public testimony will be taken on June 30, 2016.
Both meetings will be web-streamed ‘live’ and made
available for viewing on the Commissioners’ hearings & records
website.
Members of the public who wish to send
in written comments for the Commissioner's viewing should submit all comments
by 2 p.m. on Friday, June 24. Comments may be submitted by mailing physical documents to:

Background
A Public Hearing was held by
the Planning Commission on April 20, 2016, to hear the staff recommendation and
public input regarding Docket
SU-15-0001: Colorado Real Estate Holdings LLC. Planning Commission voted 6-0 to
approve and recommend to the Board of County Commissioners approval, subject to
conditions 1-12 of the staff recommendation dated April 13, 2016, with an
additional condition 13: Operating hours shall be restricted to 10 a.m. to 7
p.m.
