Hall Ranch will be closed completely during the burn.

Boulder County, Colo. - Boulder County Parks & Open Space and the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office Wildland Fire Management Program plan to conduct a prescribed burn at Hall Ranch Wed., Oct. 25, weather permitting.

Hall Ranch will be closed completely during the burn. Specific areas will reopen as soon as it’s deemed safe to do so by fire personnel.

The prescribed burn will cover approximately 40 acres and is located near the Nighthawk Trail. This area was previously burned in 2015. Fire managers are reentering the unit to further reduce surface fuels.

Firefighting resources will remain on the prescribed burn until the fire is confirmed as being controlled by significant weather conditions or determined to be out. The project area is well contained by trails and roads. Fire hoses and fire engines will completely surround the area during the duration of the burn.
