Welcome to the February 2017 edition of the People Engaged in Raising Leaders (P.E.R.L.) monthly newsletter. This newsletter is meant to keep PERL graduates informed about new board and commission opportunities in Boulder County. We also invite non profit organizations, businesses, and city and county commissions to share these opportunities when they open up. Those interested in civic engagement across Boulder County
are invited to register for the Spring 2017 P.E.R.L. training program. This ten-week session will focus on connecting our
communities with non-profit organizations and commissions ready to embrace
inclusion.This training program
educates individuals from Boulder County’s diverse communities about the
inner-workings of boards and commissions.
Participants learn about leadership
development, communication styles, budgeting, fundraising and more.

What: Board Leadership Training

When: Tuesdays, beginning March 7 through
May 9 (10 sessions), 6-7:30 p.m.

Cost: FREE

We are pleased to announce the next Creating
Connections
workshop on Monday, Feb. 27, at the St. Vrain Community HUB in Longmont from 11:30 a.m.
to 1:30 p.m.

Creating Connections was established to assist local boards and commissions with the tools to recruit and create inclusive and diverse boards. Lunch is provided and spaces fill up soon, so please register by emailing: egoodsoldier@bouldercountyorg.
