The Boulder County boards and commissions biannual recruitment will begin on July 7.

Currently, there are 26 openings including the

Adult Protection Board, Board of Review, Extension Advisory Board, Mosquito Advisory Board, Nederland EcoPass Public Improvement District, Resources Conservation Advisory Board, Workforce Development Board among others.

*The Lafayette Cultural Arts Commission (LCAC) promotes, nurtures, and celebrates the visual, performing, and language arts by providing opportunities for the public to appreciate and enjoy art in its various forms. The deadline to apply is June 20. For more information how to apply, click here.

*The Lafayette Energy Sustainability Advisory Committee (LESAC) is a citizen-member committee which was established to advise City Council on matters related to energy sustainability. The deadline to apply is June 5. For more information on how to apply, click here

*The Planning Commission makes recommendations to the City Council on land use issues such as rezoning, subdivisions, planned unit developments, and site and architectural plan reviews. The deadline to apply is June 5. For more information on how to apply, click here.

*The Public Art Committee (PAC), a subcommittee of the Cultural Arts Commission (LCAC), is an advisory group appointed by City Council to review proposals and make recommendations regarding the selection and display of public artwork. The deadline to apply is June 20. For more information on how to apply click here.

*The Youth Advisory Committee (LYAC) engages Lafayette youth in outreach, advisory, and educational opportunities through solutions‐based discourse and action. LYAC, which is a municipal board, makes recommendations to the City Council on youth‐related issues. The deadline to apply is July 19. For more information on how to apply, click here.

For the last 28 years, Community Actions Programs has recognized people of color who have contributed significantly to the Boulder County community. This year the Multicultural Community Awards Banquet will be held Saturday, September 9 at 5:00pm at the Boulder County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall

The deadline for nominations for the Multicultural Awards Banquet is June 16. Please consider nominating a person of color you know who is contributing significantly to our community.

just finished the spring session with nine graduates! We are very proud of
their dedication to this ten week session and look forward to hearing more
about their boards and commissions experiences in the future.
