People Engaged in Raising Leaders (P.E.R.L.) December Newsletter

Those interested in civic engagement across Boulder County are invited to register for the 2019 P.E.R.L. training program. This four week session will focus on connecting our communities with non-profit organizations and commissions ready to embrace inclusion.This training program educates individuals from Boulder County’s diverse communities about the inner-workings of boards and commissions. Participants learn about leadership development, communication styles, budgeting, fundraising and more.

What: Board Leadership Training

When: Tuesdays,January 8-29 from 6:00pm to 8:30pm

Cost: FREE (Dinner is provided)

Where: Boulder County Public Health Auditoirum 3482 N. Broadway, Boulder, CO

Who: Boulder County Residents

The Boulder County boards and commissions bi-annual recruitment begins December 7.There will be over 105 positions open for all internal and external boards and commissions. Some include:

• Board of Review
• Community Action Programs Board
• Cultural Council
• Historic Preservation
• Health and Human Services
• Planning Commission
• Resource Conservation Board

Boulder Housing Partners is looking for new Commissioners for 2019. If you have experience in or are passionate about affordable housing and are
connected to any of the following
industries/organizations, you are strongly encouraged
you to apply:

BHP encourages all interested individuals to attend
a board meeting to meet the Commissioners,
Executive Director, Jeremy Durham, and be
exposed to the flow of our meetings. The next

The BHP Board meets monthly from 9:00 a.m. -
11:30 a.m. on the second Wednesday of the
month. Applications for the board open on January 2,
2019 and close on February 15, 2019. You can

The HRC is now seeking candidates interested in serving as regular or alternate members of the Human Rights Commission. To apply, read the position information here, and submit your application (resume and a letter of interest are optional). Selected applicants will be contacted to schedule an interview.
