Parks & Open Space Now Accepting Applications for Volunteer Pollinator Monitors

Application deadline is March 17

Boulder County, Colo. - Boulder County Parks & Open Space is now accepting applications for Volunteer Pollinator Monitors. The application deadline is March 17 and applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Volunteers in this program help determine the types of pollinators present on open space and how to help them thrive. Long term monitoring allows us to assess how management practices are affecting local pollinator communities.

Volunteers are required to attend two training sessions, one weekday evening and one field day, and be available to monitor once a month from May to September. Participants will learn about native pollinators and insect/pollinator identification.

For more information and to apply please visit the Volunteer Opportunities webpage or contact Vanessa McCracken at vmccracken@bouldercounty.org or 303-678-6181.
