Neighborhood meeting for Cold Springs Fire community members Feb. 27

Boulder County, Colo. - A
neighborhood meeting has been scheduled for Monday, Feb. 27 for the residents
who live within and adjacent to the Cold Springs Fire burn zone.

When: Monday, Feb.
27, 6-7:30 p.m.
Where: Nederland
Community Center,
750 Hwy 72, Nederland
Who: Residents who
live within and
adjacent to Cold Springs Fire burn area

The focus of the meeting will be on “life
after a wildfire” and the various issues and challenges associated with
recovery. A few survivors of the 2010 Fourmile Canyon Fire will serve on a
panel and share recovery stories and answer questions.

Some of the topics that will be
discussed include:

  • What to expect in terms of
    revegetation
  • How to deal with burnt tree and
    weeds
  • The impact to the neighborhood
    and emotional recovery

In addition, they will provide tips
about working with your insurance company, construction, permitting, and
taking care of yourself.
