Mountain Biker Injured at Hall Ranch Open Space

Boulder County, Colo. - On November 14, 2017 at approximately 4:00 pm, the Boulder County Sheriff's Office, Boulder County Parks and Open Space and the Lyons Fire Department were called to Hall Ranch Open Space, approximately 2 miles up the Bitterbrush Trail on an injured mountain biker.

Nineteen year old University of Colorado student, Lia Westerman was mountain biking when she hit a rock, fell from her bike and broke her arm. She was assisted by rescue personnel and provided transport to a waiting ambulance and taken to Boulder Community Health, Foothills Hospital for treatment.

This incident is documented under Boulder County Sheriff's Office case number 17-6655.
