Medical assist in the 7000 block of Flagstaff Road, Boulder County, CO

56 year old male transported to a local hospital after sustaining injuries in a construction accident

Boulder County, Colo.

On February 5th, 2017, at about 10:30 a.m., members with the Rocky Mountain Fire Protection District and the Boulder County Sheriff's Office Emergency Services responded to Boy Scout Camp Patiya, which is located in the 7000 block of Flagstaff Road, in Boulder County, Colorado on the report of an injured party.

Dennis Marquardt, a 56 year old male and Boulder County resident, was doing maintenance work to one of the camps' dirt roads using a small front end loader. During the operation of this piece of equipment, Dennis was thrown off the front end loader and sustained injuries to his head and back. Medical personnel with Rocky Mountain Fire Protection District were able to get to Dennis, stabilize him and transport him to the awaiting ambulance. Dennis was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injures for treatment.

This medical assist is documented under Boulder County Sheriff's Office case number 17-720.
