Median repair project on South Boulder Road to resume Feb. 29; Work requires lane shifts
Work requires lane shifts; expected completion at end of March weather permitting
Boulder County, Colo. - Boulder
County Transportation will restart a suspended median rehabilitation project on
South Boulder Road at Eds Way/S. 68th Street at 7 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 29. In order to
accommodate construction and create a safe work zone, the inside lane of both
eastbound and westbound South Boulder Road will be closed and the road will be
shifted over into the outside shoulder to accommodate two lanes of travel.
Cyclists will need to merge with traffic when moving through the work zone.
This configuration will remain in place 24-hours per day, seven days per week
until the end of the project, which is anticipated for the end of March,
weather permitting.
The
repairs are necessary due to aging infrastructure which is causing unsafe
travel conditions along South Boulder Road.
