Lefthand Canyon construction update
Hello -
Here's what you can expect to see on Lefthand Canyon Drive for the week of Oct. 30.
Kelley Trucking will continue working at mile 1.3 on excavating the rock wall and raising the road. This work will require one-hour closures, with the road opening each hour on the hour between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., weekdays. They'll also be working on excavating the site between Lee Hill Drive and Glendale Gulch. Expect shorter delays at this spot.
Work will also continue on the new culverts at Lickskillet Road and Spring Gulch, which are close to the western terminus of the project. Expect short delays (1 to 2 minutes) at both locations. There may be a few longer (5 - 10 minute) delays when equipment is moving in the roadway, but this will not happen very often.
Stream restoration activity is ongoing in Left Hand Creek. Work at the confluence of James and Left Hand creeks has concluded and crews have moved downstream. This work will not require travel delays.
All work will take place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Have a good weekend.
Andrew
