Lefthand Canyon construction update – No paving tomorrow – Postponned until Sat., Oct. 22

Hello -

The paving work scheduled for tomorrow above Lee Hill has been postponed until next Saturday due to contractor availability. I'll send out an update next week if anything changes to that plan.

Next Week:

  • Paving will continue west of Lee Hill Drive from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday. KTI believes they have 7 to 10 days of paving left to complete the entire road.
  • Excavation work will resume at mile 1.3 on Tuesday - One-hour closures will be in effect. Travelers will be allowed through the zone every hour on the hour. Lee Hill Drive and Olde Stage Road will be your best bets for a delay free route into and out of Lefthand Canyon.
  • Crews will continue to construct the culverts at Lickskillet Road and at Spring Gulch (just west of Lickskillet). Expect delays moving around these area as space is limited. Photos of the work at each location are below.
