Lefthand Canyon construction holiday break starts at noon tomorrow; Work to resume Jan. 4 with full day-long road closures
Hello Boulder County Transportation Listserv Subscriber -
I wanted to remind everyone that work on Lefthand Canyon Drive will end at noon tomorrow, Dec. 23 and will not resume until 7 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 4. Between 8 a.m. and noon tomorrow, travelers can still expect delays with road openings every hour on the hour. When work resumes on Jan. 4, full road closures will be put into place between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Minor delays may be seen between 7 and 8 a.m. and between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m., weekdays. Up-to 30-minute delays can be expected on Saturdays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., and no work will take place on Sundays.
This phase of construction will last until May 20, 2016.
The first 10 days of construction has seen a lot of activity already and things have been moving ahead smoothly. Crews have started to remove tons of rock, dirt and vegetation from the uphill side of the road and are rapidly staging equipment and materials. We all appreciate your patience and understanding as we dial-in the work and get all construction notification signage adjusted and in place.
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or comments about the project.
Andrew
