Hiker rescued on Mount Sanitas Trail
Boulder County, Colo. - Boulder County Communications Center received a call at
approximately 2:00 p.m., today, September 18, regarding a 59-year-old male hiking
on the Mount Sanitas Trail who fell down steps.
The hiker, who sustained an injury
to his upper body, received medical care on-site, and was transported to
an area hospital. The injured hiker was visiting the area from Arizona.
Agencies that responded to the rescue were City of Boulder Open
Space and Mountain Parks, City of Boulder Fire Rescue, Rocky Mountain Rescue
Group, AMR ambulance, and the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.
