Driver of pickup truck charged in vehicle versus cyclist crash that occurred in Superior

Boulder County, Colo. - After the completion of an investigation by the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Colorado State Patrol’s Accident Reconstruction Team, a charge has been filed in the vehicle versus bicyclist crash that occurred on October 20 near the intersection of McCaslin Boulevard and South Indiana Street in Superior.

The driver, Martin R. Rose, 66, of Superior, has been charged with Careless Driving Resulting in Bodily Injury (C.R.S. 42-4-1402(2)).

The bicyclist, a 31-year-old male resident of Louisville, Colo, was travelling downhill, northbound on McCaslin Boulevard, when he collided with a black 2014 Dodge Ram pickup. The pickup truck was travelling southbound on McCaslin Boulevard and turning eastbound onto South Indiana Street when the collision occurred. The bicyclist sustained serious injuries from the collision.
