62 year old man found deceased in his front yard

Boulder County, Colo. - On January 8, 2017 at approximately 4:45 am, deputies and fire personnel from the Mountain View Fire Department responded to the 7900 block of Centerbridge Drive in Niwot on the report of a man who sustained a gunshot wound.

The man's wife had found him in their front yard, where he was determined to be deceased. Investigators from the Sheriff's Office and the Coroner's Office are investigating; however, the initial investigation would suggest that the man's fatal injuries were self inflicted and no foul play is suspected.

The man's identity is being withheld pending the Coroner's investigation and notification of family members. This investigation is documented under BCSO case number 17-116.
