Boulder County, Colo. - In the next few
months nearly one half a megawatt of solar energy is being installed on
rooftops throughout the community and there are now more than 150 new Nissan LEAF
owners. Due to the overwhelming response from the community, Boulder County and their partners are extending the deadline for
Solar Benefits Colorado, a first-of-its-kind program which offers discounts to
encourage Front Range homeowners to go solar, as well as offering a special
discount for purchasing electric vehicles.

Solar Offering

The
deadline to sign up for a residential estimate on solar has been extended to
November 30! Should homeowners decide to move forward with their project a
contract must be signed no later than Dec. 5, 2015. Residents
can request their home evaluation on the Solar Benefits Colorado website.

Electric Vehicle
Offering

Residents wanting a discounted electric vehicle can call Boulder
Nissan, 303-443-8110,
and provide the promotional code
“SolarBenefits.” Purchasing or leasing a
new Nissan LEAF is eligible for discount pricing. Cars must be purchased or
leased by Dec. 31, 2015.

Anyone in Colorado can take advantage of a discount up to $8,600 on a 2015 Nissan LEAF with
Quick Charge Package and zero-percent financing for up to 72 months. This
discount brings the entry-level LEAF S down to $23,461 from $31,810 before the federal ($7,500) and state (~$5,000) tax credits for which the LEAF also qualifies.

In partnership with Vote Solar, Boulder County launched Solar
Benefits Colorado with multiple municipalities and organizations across the
Front Range of Colorado. The program, which engages local organizations and
employers, pools the
buying power of residents along the Front Range, to make purchasing rooftop
solar and electric vehicle easier and more affordable. Through a competitive
solicitation process, an evaluation committee selected a reputable solar
installer, and local electric vehicle dealership with no cost to receive a
proposal or obligation to move forward with a project.
